LeafsOut 5" DIY 100 Feet Micro Mesh Rain Gutter Guard. Install it yourself Leaf Screen Protection Cover System

Product Description

LeafsOut consists of three main components: a front anodized aluminum drip edge; a stainless steel V-Bend micro mesh filter; and a water siphon control strip under the mesh. Can be installed on various gutter types such as Ogee, half round, fascia, curved, box and many type of roofs such as asphalt shingle, wood shake, flat tile, Spanish tile and stone coated steel. Simply slips under the roof shingles and rests on top of the roof-deck/water-barrier (tar paper) to "clamp" the gutter guard in place and stabilize its structure. The solid aluminum front fits snug to the front lip of the gutter via three self-tapping screws for each four foot length section. LeafsOut should be installed at a 10 to 30 degree pitch in order to maximize product performance.

Eliminates gutter cleaning forever!

Easy installation

Handles over 100 inches of hourly rainfall!

Filtered water can also be used in rainwater harvesting!

Total order will include 1 manual, 3 self taping screws for each 4 foot section and 100 feet LeafsOut Standard. Boxes may also be combined for fewer boxes.

If you have areas with increased water flow such as valleys we recommend to use the wide sample piece in these areas as the holes are larger and will better allow the increased water to flow into the gutter.

4Good stuff, good value.
By Guido
I searched the web for a long time, watching videos and reading reviews in order to find what works at a reasonable price. Many sites praised the stainless steel micro mesh as the most efficient at keeping debris out. Several companies offer it but require BIG bucks for them to install it with a long term maintenance agreement that is unnecessary. Some people have spent several thousand dollars with some of these companies just for a couple hundred feet of gutter guard. I liked what I saw on You Tube by the inventor of Leaf Blaster showing how to install it.

The gutter guards arrived in a timely manner and in good condition except for the burst bag of self drilling screws. They were a little harder to install than the video showed. I found that a long wide putty knife underneath the mesh helped work the edge under the shingles. I also like how the mesh is angled close to the slope of the roof so as to shed debris. Some products sit flat on the gutter which would just pile the stuff from a large Maple tree on top. My only remaining concern is how the guards will work next winter in the snow and ice of Nebraska. My guess is that it can't be worse than gutters full of frozen slush that help build ice dams on the roof. So far I am very pleased.

5Great product!
By D. Mozingo
This stuff is identical to the MasterShield brand, which the regional contractor wanted $8,000 to install on my hip-roof ranch. For $500-ish, Leaf Blaster is working just as well.

It installed easy enough (search YouTube for Leaf Blaster for an install video from the creator). If you have long gutter runs, note that the edges may be too low for the standard 5" Leaf Blaster to reach from the gutter lip to the roof. I moved the gutters up a bit and sacrificed the slope for a few feet - you may want to order a little bit of the wider Leaf Blaster.

The kit arrived in good shape. They include plenty of the self tapping stainless steel screws, nice color instructions (just still from the previously mentioned YouTube video with text really, but still good), a hand full of outside edge guard pieces, and even a magnetic driver bit to put the screws in with. The video wasn't misleading as to how hard the install was. Each piece slipped right under the shingles and the screws went right in. Even the outside and inside corners where a piece of cake.

So far not a single leaf got past, and even in the heaviest of rains, no water washed over the gutters. I have to say, I'm highly impressed with this product. An afternoon's worth of work saved me about $7,500 from the contractor option! I'm recommending it to all my friends and family.

3OK, but not horribly flexible
By A. Bauer
I was very excited to get the Leaf Blaster gutter system. I live in a smaller ranch home with tons of trees around it. My property is not a large size, but I probably rake 3-4x more than the average homeowner. Needless to say that my gutters get clogged with everything...leaves, berries, helicopters, needles, pods...you name it. The cheap, plastic guards just weren't doing the trick and they warped really bad in the summer. I chose the Leaf Blaster based on price and ease of installation.
They arrived this past weekend and right off the bat I noticed there were ZERO holes in the panels as stated in the description. Not a huge deal as the screws penetrated the aluminum pretty easily, but there is no pre-drilled holes. Secondly, the panels are not flexible at all. My gutters are a little low as it's an older house, and trying to get them fixed under the drip edge while lining up the end to screw in was near impossible on some. I understand this is the fault of myself and not the product, but I was hoping to bend them a little to conform to the house. All in all, installation was very easy. Panels line up nicely and the screws are very easy to drive in. For 80-feet worth, I worked probably 2 hours or so. I'll be insterested when in rains to see how well these protect from the garbage that will be thrown from the trees.
